How do I restore my data?

If you've lost a device, haven't used the app in a while or recently switched phones you may find that when you open Pin Drop, all of your data has gone.

Panic ye not! There's a few things we can do and these questions should help get to the bottom of what's happening.

  1. Are you logging in on the same email address / Apple / Facebook?
  2. When did you last use the app?
  3. Did you create a backup of your data?
  4. Do you remember how many pins you had (roughly)?

Once you've checked you are logging in using the same credentials go to the next steps:

  1. Open the 'more' tab from the base navigation (it should be the one on the far right).
  2. Tap on the 'data' app in the middle of the app grid.
  3. You'll see an option to 'restore data'. Tap that and you will (hopefully) see a backup.
  4. If you have a backup there, tap 'restore' and it should restore all your data.
