Pin Drop is all about selectively sharing. Keep the things you want, private to yourself and then share everything else with the people you know and love.
Social sharing
You can easily share pins, tags, collections and profiles on: Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and X (AKA Twitter). If you want you can go retro and simply copy a link or share by email or SMS within the 'more' option on the list.
Share to WhatsApp
Tap the share icon and then select the option to share with WhatsApp (you must have the WhatsApp app installed on the device in order for this to work).
You will see you have a few options on what visual you'd like to share in your WhatsApp chat message. Swipe left or right to choose the one you'd like to use.
- Tap share pin (or tag or collection etc)
- The pin card (after a slight delay) will dismiss and open WhatsApp
- Select the chat or person you'd like to share the pin with
- Hey presto! You've shared to WhatsApp!
Share to Instagram
Tap on the share icon and then select the option to share with Instagram (you must have the Instagram app installed on the device in order for this to work).
You will see you have a few options on what visual you'd like to share in your Instagram post. Swipe left or right to choose the one you'd like to use.
- Tap share pin (or tag or collection etc)
- The pin card (after a slight delay) will dismiss and open Instagram
- Select how what sort of post you want: story, feed or message
- If sharing as a story post:
- Add a link sticker to your post
- Now re-open the Pin Drop app and tap the share option again and 'Copy link'. You have to this after you've started your Instagram post as the link gets wiped.
- That's it! Go ahead and share your post 🎉.
More sharing options
Tap on the 'more' options and after selecting the visual styling you want to use, go ahead and choose where you'd like to share. We can't guarantee that all apps will work so if there are any that don't work, let us know and we'll get it working.
Other apps you might like to share your Pin Drop content to include: Telegram, Signal, WeChat, Messenger, TikTok, Viber, Line, KakaoTalk, Zalo and Snapchat.
Inviting
You can invite others to Pin Drop by sharing https://pindrop.it or suggesting they download the app from the app store https://pindrop.it/get.
From the 'more' tab in the app (just below your username) you can tap the QR code for someone to scan and follow you or tap the share icon to share Pin Drop any way you like.
Ideally both users should have Pin Drop installed and created accounts for this to work smoothly.
Followers and following
When you create a profile people can request to follow you and see your public content. You can also follow other profiles. People who are friends with you will also be able to see the people you follow and those who follow you.
At any point you can stop following accounts and also stop other people from being able to follow you.
